![]() That's incredibly awkward to play to say the least.Īnd then they go ahead and use the second player's control for the first player in MK2. 4,8,6,2 for movement, diagonal numbers for attack, and 5 for blocking. Speaking of awkward, the second player's controls are even weirder as it uses the numpad keys only. Movement works just fine, buy you may want to rebind the attack buttons as they are a bit awkward. In MK1 it's S,X,Z,C for movement, U,I,N,M for attacks, and J for block. Now both games have different keyboard controls otherwise. To play F1 and F2, for first and second player respectively. I had to pretty much randomly press keys until I found the proper ones. The keyboard layouts are all kinds of funky. I've been unable to get the d-pad working as DOSBox keeps thinking it's a hat switch so I get no response while in the game. Sure, I could assign key bindings to either my Logitech or Xbox controller, BUT diagonal jumping will not work 90% of the time. Don't expect to use a controller for either. ![]() So I did plenty of playing around with all three seeing how they work, and here's my inital report:įirst, MK1 is the superior CD version with good sound and music. ![]()
